Young Ambassadors pay a visit to Milford Bird Observatory

A group of our Young Ambassadors paid a visit recently to the Milford Bird Observatory down on the South Coast

The observatory is a converted pump house that opened in December 2017. The Trust was one of the main sponsors of this project that  helped transform this old building into a destination for bird enthusiasts.

The observatory overlooks The Pans, a. wetland nature reserve on private land owned by J & D Edgar Ltd. During the quieter summer months, the site has breeding Marsh Harrier, Bearded Tit, Water Rail, Kingfisher, Reed Warbler, Reed Bunting and Cetti’s Warbler.

Brilliant to visit Keyhaven Nature Reserve where the Cameron Bespolka Trust helped fund the development of a new bird hide on the reserve. Plenty of wildlife and fantastic views all around!
