Berlin Marathon

Berlin Marathon 2019

Why run a Marathon? It’s exhausting, painful and the training is extremely time-consuming, yet on 29th September, a team of sixteen of us are Running the Berlin Marathon for Cameron. Most of us are first-time Marathon runners.

We are now only 8 weeks away and the distances of our runs are getting longer and longer. To run 26.2 miles (42km) is a tremendous challenge and to do it for charity, makes it doubly rewarding.

We are incredibly grateful to have this dedicated, committed and enthusiastic team:
  • We are first-time marathoners runners, we are multiple marathon runners
  • We are running for a PB (personal best time), we are running to finish
  • We are running for a challenge, we are running for Cameron
  • We are old friends and family, we are new friends
  • We are slow runners, we are fast runners
  • We are young, we are not so young....
We are running for Cameron
We are raising funds for the Field Study Centre next to Cameron's Cottage

Please support us. You can donate to one runner or support us as a team. Every penny helps and 100% of your donation goes directly to our work.

We are funding the renovation of Cameron’s Cottage in the heart of the RSPB reserve in the New Forest and are now looking for additional funds to build a Field Study Centre right next to this amazing cottage.

We are running to remember Cameron and to support a very special cause and this enables us to endure what it takes. Training for a marathon is relentless. It takes time, commitment, strength, pain, injuries, sacrifices and lots and lots of perseverance. We run between 25-60 miles a week which takes up a lot of time, juggling work and family.

I feel passionate about wildlife and nature. By creating opportunities for young people to be immersed in the natural world, our work will capture the interest of the next generation inspired by a very special young naturalist.
