Cameron Bespolka Wildlife Memorial Talk
hosted by Winchester College

Wednesday
26th November, 2025

We are so honoured to welcome this year’s guest speaker, leading scientist, Dr. Campbell Murn, FRSB FLS from the Hawk Conservancy Trust to our annual wildlife talk.

Dr Campbell Murn FRSB FLS shares the highs and lows of devoting his life’s work to the research and conservation of Birds of Prey.

Hear fascinating stories about working hands-on with these birds, through to the scientific research that supports their conservation in Africa, Asia and here in the UK with various species of owls, kestrels, kites, buzzards and vultures.

3 Major Marathons in one year!

As many of you know, running marathons has become a huge part of my life since losing Cameron and this year presented me with an even bigger challenge: to run Boston, London and New York, 3 of the iconic major marathons in one year.  These major marathons are incredibly difficult to get into so when I qualified for Boston and London in April, I jumped at the chance, even though they were only 6 days apart!  And New York was a bonus, my Boston time qualified me to enter New York on 2 November and my challenge was complete.

These fundraising challenges enable us to continue to fund activities that connect young people and nature. We have doubled the amount of groups we sponsored this year to visit Cameron's Cottage and hope to increase that number again for 2026. Cameron's Cottage is a perfect place to stay and experience exceptional outdoor activities led by the RSPB.  There are so many young people who don’t have the opportunity to spend time in green spaces and we are passionate to change this and open up access to nature.

Any donations and support would be so much appreciated.

Thank you all so much for supporting us, we could not do what we do without you. Look forward to seeing you at one of the above events soon.

Much love,
